Please give us the ability to create our own themes. Additionally, being able to share and download other's themes would be great. At present, none of the prepackaged themes are very conducive to writing for me- they don't really follow any "good for reading" or "good for writing" visual rules, are too bright or too stark for my eyes. I would much rather just control what's good for my eyes nyself.

This is a must. For me, I only ever type in white text on a black background. Especially since I read ebooks this way in the Kindle App. Given the option, his would be my theme:
Writing in the dead of night? This inverted monochrome theme, Poe, provides bright white text and slate-grey highlights against a black obsidian backdrop and a charcoal grey workspace. Lines of prose harken back to a darker time, engraved in the quintessential letterforms of the Courier typeface on a light-against-dark field.
If you add that as an 8th custom option, that would be all I need. This would become my exclusive go-to theme.
I know you were trying to avoid a black backdrop. Because of elements such as the word count, that don't change with the themes. Including the two ravens, I refer to as Huginn and Muninn, on the splash screen which are also black and don't change with the theme like the typewriter does. But I tell you it would be worth it to have those ravens, and the other elements, switch to white for this theme. If this gets approved, I apologize to the programmers in advance, and thank them profusely.
