  1. Color text formatting would be useful

    I would find it useful to be able to highlight text at certain points in my story development....not necessarily for printing, but for my own recognition of something that might need additional work before publishing.

  2. Improvement - Ability to resize workspace

    Now that I've discovered the indenting of story elements, the need to be able to resize the workspace has become evident. Some scene titles are necessarily longer, and the more that indention takes place (to further refine the story), the more that they disappear under the document body writing space.

    I would like to able to make my work space larger, so that I can see all levels (and titles) of my document, which will make my workflow faster.

    I see no ability to attach a screenshot here, so I hope the explanation is good enough.

  3. Chapter Heading Images

    It would be nice if I could specify an image to go directly under the name of each chapter, before the text starts. something to alert myself, and any future potential readers that this is indeed a new chapter. This is somewhat related to the "inserting pictures into the body text of a chapter" thread, but I felt it was worth bringing up on its own.

  5. Genre writing environment themes for inspiration

    I love the way you have set this up to be a complete writing environment. Meaning all my writing is created and kept in this one environment, and I no longer will have to create separate document files for each writing project. As such I would love to be able to meld function with inspiration. Like desktop themes of old, I would love to be able to set different writing environment themes bases on the most popular genres, aka Mystery/Suspense, Romance, etc.

    These themes would be complete with animated desktop, and soundtracks to use as white noise.(i love writing with…

  6. The delete does not delete

    I open the chapter and selected the trash can, and am asked: Are you sure you want to delete the chapter named but there is no yes/no option next to the question. You have to scroll to the end???

  7. Docx export not working.

    I can export my novel to html (I am using the free edition) and it will show it exporting to docx, but I only get the title and a table of contents that has only "summary" in it. There is only 3 pages exported of a novel that is almost 14000 words

  9. Ability to work well with NON-fiction manuscripts

    Your software looks wonderful! I would like to see added capabilities to work with non-fiction manuscripts.

  10. Features to expand the entire writing process

    1. An outline for the novel, with templates based on the type of novel would be great 2. a place for research so that it's easy to reference while writing, 3. a way to format the manuscript with size options, etc to eliminate having to go on Word to format, edit, then save as a PDF

  12. Add another notebook section for deleted ideas.

    Sometimes we delete things. I'd personally like to be able to write down my deleted ideas. Whether I've written something so trash or I've written something I didn't like originally and soon found a way to use it in my story, or to rebuild the scraped idea.

  13. Web links we could place in notes or comments would be a excellent addition.

    A browser wouldn't have to be added to connect within the program, but if the link could open a system browser it would provide extra convenience.

  14. It would be good to have the ability to export connections to the file as well

    I really like this software, its easy to use and have very usefull functions. What is lacking in my opinion is the ability to export connections to a docx or html file (especially in html file it make sense as you could just go to another part of notebook via hyperlink).

  16. Right to left support

    Hello. I found Shaxpir very interesting. I'm writing in multiple languages, and I'm wondering if you're planning to add a right to left support (For Arabic language for example). This feature will catch me for subscribing and using this App.

  17. You should pivot, be the Frame.io, Figma, Framer, etc. of writing tools.

    You could do it... I'd help you if you want.
    I'm also a web developer, heavy front-end, UX dev, etc.

    I think you could benefit from an overhaul with focused UX and focus on collaboration phases that real indie authors really need. A bigger focus on external integrations needs implemented as well.

    Exporting needs to be a huge focus as well.

  18. Shaxpir in french ?

    Hi ! I'm a french author and just fell in love with Shaxpir ! But I'm quite frustrated I can't use all those beautiful linguistics tools in my language...

    Would it be possible to add french on Shaxpir ?

  20. Connections - adding a new connection is not intuitive

    It's easy enough to add the heading of "Connections", but adding the actual connection is not intuitive, since the links (small plus and minus) signs) are not visible until one hovers over that particular area with the mouse pointer.

    I fiddled around with the Connection link for 5 minutes, before my pointer rested over that area of the page long enough to see the small plus and minus signs.

    The same is true for deleting a connection. User won't see the delete link until and unless they happen to hover their cursor pointer just over the end of the connected…
